I honestly didn’t think I’d make it so soon, but I’m on the top 50 too!! I’m one of the elite Knights of Katar! Holy Rusty Armor Batman!
Yesterday we both finally made Level 90. This is when you are no longer considered a n00b in Last Chaos. While this is very prestigious, it isn’t nearly as nice as the second accomplishment Pandella has made. She’s finally also on the Top 50 List. She is one of the top 50 healers in the game on the Katar Servers. A very elite position to have. I sadly will not make the list for a few weeks yet.
Gratz to my Baby!!
Yes Kiddies, I’m having yet another brainstorm. My love of games and my creative skills are having me move in the direction of game development. Not as a coder, or as the money, but as the idea. The person who brings it all together. I have a few fellow gamers talking with me about what they’d like to see in the next huge MMORPG.
Getting in on this Micropayment structure, is a very good idea indeed. The resources are readily available. First step is the plan. Once the plan is made, then comes investors. Then office space, developers and management. Then finally execution and release to the wild.
If all goes well, the investment will be returned well over it’s original cost, thus financing the ability to make more games. Games for the players. Players that will come for more games.
I’m not at liberty to disclose anything to the public as of yet. But you never know, if I find you in game (and it’s hard to say what game I’ll be in), I may ask you questions that will help pull the divine plan into action.
Never before have I wanted to get in on something like I do now. I’ve been playing MMORPG games over the past year that use the micropayment system. While there has been some debate on whether this is a good way to run an online game, over a subscription based plan. I see nothing but good things for micropayments. I wish I could develop an MMORPG that is Free2Play with a micropayment system.
- From the research I’ve done, it not only pays the bills, but in a year or two, it’s going to give World of Warcraft a run for it’s money!!
- I have brilliant ideas. I honestly do, problem is I don’t have the money to invest in the making of a game, nor do I have the coding skill required. But, if I could team up with investors and programmers, we could make a game that could unseat WoW and the other big MMORPG names easily from their digital thrones.
Of course, it stands to reason that only a gamer would make a good game. But also someone who listens to the other players know what players really want.
If anyone with code skills or would like to invest in this, please email me.
George Carlin was on of my favorite hero’s. I was truly saddened to hear of his death on June 22, 2008. I thought so highly of him. Sure he was a comedian. He made us laugh out loud.
He also made me think. A lot. He was a big part of the reason I suffer from dumasaphobia. In his own special way he made me realize about a lot of the stupid things we believe in and do as human beings. It was a big part of his life as well was pointing out the shortcomings of others and turning it into humor.
- and so much more
I will miss him on the stage, in movies and in my thoughts. George Carlin was a very wise man and I consider him a friend, even though we’ve never met. I wish I could have.
Here’s George in one of my favorite bits:
Well a few weeks ago the company I work for was bought out and moved 30 miles away from home. While my job isn’t something to get excited about, it certainly beats working in fast-food or retail. It’s a small town ISP with only a few thousand customers. What I like most about it is that it’s local and not corporate owned. Well…. now it is I guess, but not by a big corporation. Also I love the fact that my opinion matters. Well…. At least it did matter. Maybe it still does, I’m not quite sure yet.
See, I’ve spent the better part of my life as a technician. Ten years as a PC tech, and the past 5 years as an ISP tech. (I’ll tell you now, that ISP techs have a harder job than PC techs) But the company that bought us is a computer repair/distribution company. The owner is a nice guy for the most part. Though he’s a Microsoft Fan Boy. The only thing Microsoft I like is Windows XP. I can’t stand Vista or Mac. Absolutely hate Microsoft Office and loathe Outlook. This is already causing some conflicts. To make matters worse, because I spent part of my techie life working for Gateway, he seems to have a problem with my knowledge of computers. Not that he’s ever tested me. And while this may be understandable, as most of the so-called techs I worked with there, couldn’t tell a P4 connector from a floppy cable, I unlike them, do know a considerable amount about PC’s and their inner workings. I don’t care to be “judged” on the fact that I used to work with these other losers. This leaves me with a feeling of distaste for driving out of my way, paying high-ass gas prices for a meager raise. It simply does not compensate. While my immediate boss is trying to get me to stay and is going out of his way to make my life simpler… I only get to work to feel like an outcast by my new boss.
I’m not sure how long this will last. I love my immediate boss, but it’s going to be hard fitting in with a boss that loves things I do not. It not only hurts my comfort level in my work environment, but now it’s beginning to bother me outside of work. This is not how I want to spend my years until retirement. I don’t want to feel resented because of my past. I’m a great tech, if only he’d see that. If not, perhaps I should move on to something closer to home.
OK, enough of the pity party…. (starting to creep myself out)
About 2 weeks ago, we finally did one of our biggest improvements to our home. It was supposed to be central air-conditioning. However, that turned out to be too expensive for our budget, so instead we got all new vinyl windows. Double hung, double pane with some sort of gas filling and treatment that insulates as well as cuts down dramatically on ultra-violet rays. Whatever it all really means, it is such a wonder to replace those old single pane wood windows. No more painting!! Yay!!
Hmm… The new Tomb of Theos. Video is dated June 16, 2008. Possible release date? You tell me.
Some folks didn’t get the idea, that free is fun. Not just some low quality game that you have to purchase than it’s free to play. This game is free to download, free to play and is loads of fun! Brought to you by EresEliteWarGods and CastleRain.com
